Studiens syfte var att undersöka huruvida ett pilotprojekt bestående av en ny typ avmedarbetar- och lönesamtal i Sandvikens kommun givit någon effekt på rolltydlighet,empowerment och arbetstillfredsställelse. Vidare var syftet att undersöka sambanden mellanrolltydlighet, empowerment och arbetstillfredsställelse. En enkät besvarades av 62förskollärare. Genom t-test undersöktes skillnaden mellan förskollärare som deltar i projektet(N=34) och andra förskollärare (N=28) gällande dessa variabler, men inga signifikantaskillnader kunde visas. En multivariat regressionsanalys visade i enlighet med tidigareforskning ett samband mellan rolltydlighet och arbetstillfredsställelse, men något sambandmellan empowerment och arbetstillfredsställelse visades inte.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate whether publiclibraries language cafés can support or enable the empowerment of the participants. Empowerment means that the individuals ability to take control of their own lives is strengthened and that the individual becomes more independent. Empowerment also means that the individual takes part in a community. An important part of this is the language. I have developed two research questions: What forms of empowerment can be seen in the respondents' statements? What role do language cafés play for people from other countries, in terms of empowerment? The thesis empirical material consists of interviews whit five people involved in different languages cafes in public libraries in the city of Malmö.

The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate the participants experiences of a parent support group and the effect of their participation on their parental role from a learning perspective. As the parent support group takes place as a group activity, the focus was on the individual learning processes which, in turn, are influenced by both the group itself as well as the leaders of the group. The empirical data was collected from a focus group interview with four mothers, and analyzed using empowerment and coping theories. Based on the participants´ narratives, the result showed that the parent support group had a great social and pedagogic effect on the participants. As a result of the received knowledge in the group from both leaders as well as from other participants, they felt less stressed and more confident in their parental role.

The overall aim of the paper is to examinehow access to microcredit considered leading to empowerment of women. To get an idea ofwhat a microloansorganization is the Grameen Bank is used as an example.

The objective of this qualitative study was to contribute to the understanding of how musical activities affect the participants' well-being and empowerment and to investigate which fac-tors contribute to that effect. Invitations were sent to 13 adult participants in a rock music school in the middle part of Sweden. 7 persons (4 men, 3 women) participated in the study. 4 themes were discussed in focus groups to highlight how informants were affected by the ac-tivity and what factors were important in the context. Results showed that music activities impact on participants' well-being and empowerment through several factors.Themes that appeared were: 1) focus on the present through music, 2) personal development, 3) meaningful leisure activity 4) the group properties.

Diabetes mellitus typ 2 (DMT2) är en växande sjukdom som patienten kan påverka genom att byta livsstil. I Sverige har 365 000 personer diagnostiserats med diabetes mellitus typ 2. Det tros finnas lika många personer med oupptäckt diabetes mellitus typ 2. Syftet med studien var att undersöka på vilket sätt sjuksköterskan ska utföra empowerment för att motivera diabetes mellitus typ 2 människor till förbättrad egenvård. Som metod användes litteraturstudie.

The purpose of our study is to examine the case managers reasoning and descriptions of empowerment as a method in their social work from a comprehensively perspective including family members. To manage with this purpose we interviewed two case managers, two clients with mental disabilities and five family members. We have come to the conclusion that the case managers works more consist of advocacy than empowerment. Despite that we have found that the long term goal for the case mangers work is to give the clients tools for empowerment. Our results also show that the clients feel that they have gained and increased their ability to do things by themselves and to be a part of the community.

Syfte med denna studie är att undersöka hur coaching kan hjälpa till att främja empowerment och därmed bidra till att öka människornas hälsa. Frågeställningar är: Vilka samband finns det mellan coaching och empowerment? Hur påverkar empowerment människornas hälsa? Kan man öka individens hälsa med coaching? Uppsatsen grundas på en litteraturstudie.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att mot bakgrund av en analys av befintlig forskning kring empowerment föra en kritisk diskussion med fokus på makt och människosyn. Litteraturstudie är vår valda metod, och utgångspunkten är en kritisk analys i granskningen av litteraturen. Vi har rekonstruerat tidigare forskning för att undersöka vilken syn som finns på empowerment som framförs i litteraturen. I litteraturgenomgången framkom att makt är en grundläggande beståndsdel i empowerment. Detta medförde att vi valde att hädanefter studera empowerment ur ett maktperspektiv.

Syftet med studien var att skapa en bättre förståelse för hur några juniorishockeyspelare och deras tränare ser på hur faktorerna lagsammanhållning, spelaromsättning, roller och prestation förhåller sig till varandra och hur de arbetade med dessa faktorer. Instrumenten som användes var GEQ (Group Environment Questionnaire) och två helstrukturerade intervjuguider. Deltagarna i studien var ishockeyspelarna i ett J18-lag (n=18) och deras tränare (n=1) i en medelstor klubb i Sverige. Resultatet visade att samtliga intervjudeltagare upplevde ett positivt samband mellan lagsammanhållning, spelaromsättning, rollklarhet och prestation. Sambandet beskrevs dock som cirkulärt, att alla faktorerna var beroende av varandra och påverkades av varandra.

Front-staff competence and ability to offer a good service is a crucial factor when the company's success is being measured.Empowerment in business is used as a tool to create motivation and satisfaction of individuals at work. Companies using empowerment can create the freedom and opportunities for employees to act at their own intelligence and discretion.

I många år har det stått klart att på grund av ökning av antalet äldre kommer det blir svårt med framtida bemanning i hemtjänsten. Arbeten anses vara låg status och underbetalda. Om arbeten i hemtjänsten anses ge anställda upplevelser av empowerment är det möjligt att flera söker sig till dessa arbeten och att befintlig personal stannar kvar.Syftet med denna uppsats är att få ökad förståelse för hur personal i hemtjänst upplever empowerment i sitt arbete samt att studera på vilket sätt ledare inom hemtjänsten kan arbeta med att stödja upplevelser av empowerment hos sina anställda. Undersökningen är genomförd som en kvalitativ fallstudie i hemtjänsten i Reykjavík. Med semistrukturerade intervjuer har sex anställda och tre ledare intervjuats och materialet har analyserats med en tematisk analys.Det visar sig att de anställda i hemtjänsten i Reykjavík upplever delvis strukturell empowerment i sina arbeten samt pyskologisk empowerment genom alla fyra kognitionerna; mening, kompetens, självbestämmande och påverkan.
